Whether you are a commuter, an urban explorer or an e-bike delivery person, @RideZygg has put together a collection of fun, cool, and informative Toronto Cycling Instagram accounts. We wanted to share the love and showcase a few, in no particular order:
Cycle Toronto’s aim is to make Toronto a better, safer, and more enjoyable cycling city. Through their advocacy and hard work you can get great, up-to-the-minute news on Cycling Infrastructure, Events, and Urban Cycling Tips.
Toronto Cycle Chic @torontocyclechic
Who doesn’t like some sartorial eye-candy? These days, anything goes when it comes to fashion on two wheels. Toronto Cycle Chic is a diverse glimpse into the colourful, playful, and styling streets of The6ix. Their motto : “ Dress For The Journey, Not The Destination”.
The Bike Brigade @thebikebrigade
The Bike Brigade is a non-profit organisation of volunteers who use their pedal power to deliver goods and services to those in need, especially those affected by the COVID - 19 pandemic.
They are always looking for extra help, check them out!
Culture Link Bicycle Hub @culturelinkbikehub
Culture Link Community Organisation assists newcomers looking for employment, helps families navigate the school system, and provides youth with the skills necessary for bright and successful futures. They support refugees and bring together new and established Canadians. Their Bike Hub is a fantastic resource which takes bike donations, refurbishes bikes and distributes them throughout eager communities. They also have a “Bike Host” programme which mentors new Torontonians with cycling etiquette, the rules of the road, and tours throughout our fair city. Become a Mentor !
Bike Party Toronto @bikepartytoronto
Bikes. Lights. Music. What more is there to say? This account is always a blast.
Cycling Without Age Toronto @cwatoronto
Every time we see volunteers from Cycling Without Age Toronto, steering jubilant seniors and physically challenged people in their comfortable “sight-seeing” cargo bikes, it is such a delight. Next to an ebike subscription from Zygg, this is the best way to continue cycling at any age.
Ontario By Bike Network @ontario_by_bike
Urban cycling is always super-exciting, however, don’t forget to take your ebike out to explore the whole province. Ontario By Bike Network showcases some of the best excursions across Ontario. If you do not have access to a car with a solid bike rack, there are many ways to take your e-bike on the road in tandem with the TTC, Go Transit, Toronto Island Ferry, and Via Rail.
Cycling in Toronto needs to be safe and inclusive. BikePoc is a fabulous, social cycling group for BIPOC who identify as Women, Trans, Femme, or Non-Binary in “Tkaronto”.
Biking Toronto loves the city’s biking culture and they repost the best pics from Instagram which highlight Toronto’s ever-growing cycling community.
Now that you have your fantastic Zygg electric bike subscription (or are considering one for personal use or e-bike food delivery), you may need some gear, accessories, or clothing to keep you happy and kitted-out. Shopping local is the best way and there are dozens of great bike stores in every neighbourhood of Toronto. Here are some of our faves:
Sweet Pete’s Bikeshop @sweetepetesbikeshop
Gears Bike Shop @gearsbikeshop
Bateman’s Bicycle Company @batemansbikeco
